Although the institution doesn’t offer postgraduate programs, it does offer its students a wide range of undergraduate courses and programs to choose from.
Every applicant is expected to meet certain general requirements. In addition to that, an intending student must also meet some course-specific admission requirements. The course-specific requirements vary considerably depending on the program the student is applying for.

• A minimum of 65% aggregate from High School calculated based on five Grade 12 courses
• A 2.0 minimum GPA on the eight most recently completed post-secondary school courses

As a way of supporting its students, the institution has several “awards” that students can apply for. The institution offers three types of awards namely: scholarships, bursaries, and awards.
Scholarships are granted to students on basis of academic achievement and in rare cases, extracurricular activities. To qualify for a Mount Royal scholarship, a student is required to possess a minimum of 3.2 Grade Point Average or a high school average of 80%. Bursaries on the other hand are granted to students who have demonstrated financial needs. Academic performance is not taken into consideration when granting bursaries. Awards can either be monetary or non-monetary. Awards recognize a student’s achievement in a course or program.
